  • 1.  Version 2023 Client Install - Print Issue Workstation Specific

    I installed v2023 Advanced on three client desktops that have v2020 Advanced (did not uninstall v2020, they are not live yet).  For one workstation, printing works in both versions.  For the other two, the following error appears when printing anything from either version:

    I have installed other v2023 desktops for other clients on various previous versions with no issue, but on my own desktop the v2023 client install resulted in the same error for all my installed Sage 100 versions.  Sage Support has no idea why this is occurring (spoke with a senior member whom I trust explicitly).

    Has anyone encountered this and been able to determine what factors on the workstation are involved?

    @Brett Zimmerman the previous issue was for a 64 bit install on a server that had a 32 bit install.  This issue is 32 bit all around.

    I had one upgrade to 2023 from 2022 where I had to add/remove the crystal runtimes then I re-installed Sage 100 2023

    If that doesn't work I'd try the Error: "Unable to cast COM object of type" when printing in Sage 100 2017 and earlier versions after installing Sage 100 2018 or later versions

    I agree with Wayne.  First thing I'd check are the CR runtimes that are installed as part of v2023.

    @Wayne Schulz thank you, that fixed it on my system (fingers crossed for the client).  Odd because it just reinstalls both 32 and 64 bit Crystal again.  Maybe something goes sideways the first time?  Thanks again.
