    is anyone else having issues with Avatax today?

    My client is getting this message now on every order and invoice.  "Insufficient Address Information". All machines too.

    Even the trick of "Attn' or General Delivery is not bypassing this message. 

    I have reboot the server as well as installing the lastest DSD link for Version 7.10.

    Per Avatax Support

    1) We are aware of an issue, and are working on it

    2) You need to install 7.4 in order to resolve this issue 

    Does anyone have another other suggestions? or Seeing this today?

    @Michael Davis I can only confirm that this error is happening on my internal system as well.  I simply used the Avatax button to validate an address in Customer Maintenance and received the error message, "Avatax failed to validate - Insufficient address information provided."  I can only guess it is problem with Avalara directly.

    That's the same message. I guess we wait on Avatax to fix/ resolve.

    I have customers reporting the same AvaTax message.  Has anyone here opened a support case with Avalara?  I am wondering if it worth opening a support case if there are already several hundred of the exact same case.

    We open one with them. But hoping more will soon as it increases them working on it.

    They said “we are aware of the issue.”

    As well as suggesting that needed to upgraded to 7.4 from 7.10
    I did load the latest SP for 7.10 but no way that I can upgrade to 7.40 today.

    I have opened a case but have not heard of any work arounds other than to upgrade to 7.40 which I cannot do on such short notice.

    well, v2025 "Just has" PU1 ready, and OM is not even available for v2025... so their suggestion to install 7.4 is ridiculous.  Unless, I am misunderstanding what 7.4 means.  We also have clients with this problem this afternoon.

    I'm getting intermittent results - no rhyme or reason.  I click the orange a button in Customer Maintenance, and sometimes the Address validates without incident, and I do it again and get the error.  Same customer, not changing screens.  Just plain weird.

    Well and MB isn't ready either. 

    It is nice to know we aren't alone. Has anyone tried downloading the TLs updates they recommended on their site? Jhiam will post here what we have once he gets back online. I had to hop off to get my son to baseball.

    Does it concern anyone beside me that Avalara support apparently had no visibility into an ongoing outage and offered up a "get off the phone" resolution of performing a full version Sage 100 upgrade? Impossible for some users with enhancements that aren't available for upgrade. It's also 1990's thinking to suggest "just upgrade". All those easy one-person doctor officers and insurance agents who were using MAS 90 due to their accountant's recommendation are LONG gone. What's left are primarily wholesale distribution with 10+ users. Is it that hard to understand the environment in which Avalara integrations operate or has offshoring of support taken away any understanding of the environment the solution is used in - and the offshore reps just read off scripts?

    I agree @Wayne Schulz.  On the flip side, we had a number of Avalara users I reached out to regarding the disruption which had not had any disruption; at all. 
    Do we know if it was related to this message received:

        Upcoming scheduled maintenance notice
        An updated version of the Avalara AvaTax transport layer security (TLS) certificate will be published Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Most customers will not require any action. Some legacy systems may require download and installation of the new certificate from https://developer.avalara.com/avatax/ssl-certificates/.
      Action is required if you experience connection issues on or after July 30.
      If you're unable to connect:
