I'm going to setup a Zoom account to use for virtual, meetings of our members.  Thanks to membership committee, Darcy especially, for sharing all the great information on how they set up and run them for Acu-connect. 

It looks like we can leverage this for lots of uses.

I was in on first the APS coffee session and then the Acu-connect Happy Hour. Both done with Zoom. I think the format has a lot of potential. 

The coffee was ok.
The Happy Hour was surprisingly enjoyable. While there was no business discussed there, they had prepared nearly 10 silly quizzes to take throughout the hour. I think they helped initiate participation. 

There wasn't much subject preparation or icebreakers in the coffee. Out of ~25 attendees, fewer than 10 participated. 

Pulling these off well is a new skill set.

This is the type of thing we want to do. The trick, obviously, is to do them well. It needs to be more than an HR stunt.

I would never do less than my best...as my first career choice, radio, TV, and film are my heart and sole.  This is very similar.
