  • 1.  You do not have sufficient rights to perform positive pay export ( SOLUTION )

A customer is upgrading 2018 to 2023. This crosses some of the myriad of security tweaks that seem great on a whiteboard but are painful during upgrade time (except for those who like to play Forest firefighter as the calls come in about being unable to perform tasks previously accessible).

Here's a fun one, which I'm sure all of you already know, though I'll post it here for future searches.

In Positive Pay Export, user clicks on a saved Export Setting and gets the error: You do not have sufficient rights to do positive pay export.

Note: You will see in Role Maintenance that they do have BR rights to the Positive Pay Export. But that's not enough. See resolution below:

    1. Go to Library Master/Security/Role Maintenance
    2. Select the Role experiencing the error from the look up button.
    3. Click on the Security Options Tab then click to expand the General Ledger menu and ensure that "Allow Viewing, Printing and Editing of Highly Sensitive Personally Identificable Information" is enabled.
    4. Click Accept.
    5. Run the Positive Pay Export again.

Amen, been there done that one.

I tend to put on my firefighter hat as I hate guessing what new security role each person needs access to.  I would rather be cautious than open a security hole.

Sage is getting "better" at showing what needs to be done.

I am still looking for the magic switch that allows a user to reprint an AR invoice from history.  I spent an hour panning for that little nugget of gold last week.  Just not seeing it yet.
