Yes,this business still Sucks. Just to @WayneSchulz last post on google prospects, spent too much time convincing a prospect they should get jobops instead of buying and implementing work order. Took a full consultative approach.
They have very few report and form customizations. I quoted a whopping 2.5 billable days for the base upgrade. Even threw in a 10% off everything quote discount knowing it came from the web...
Some slob quotes 1 day for the upgrade and is willing to 'not to exceed' the fee.
So now they will spend about $25k for the whole project (they are off maintenance) and have the shitty work order implemented vs. my $30k and a partner who is trying to do the right thing.
Plus I warned them that there new system will be alot slower as they have 100base-t and don't want to consider mas200 or terminal services or any hardware upgrades.
I don't see a future for this product line and the type of customers it seems to attract now days.
