Yes,this business still Sucks. Just to @WayneSchulz last post on google prospects, spent too much time convincing a prospect they should get jobops instead of buying and implementing work order. Took a full consultative approach. They have very few report and form customizations. I quoted a whopping 2.5 billable days for the base upgrade. Even threw in a 10% off everything quote discount knowing it came from the web... Some slob quotes 1 day for the upgrade and is willing to 'not to exceed' the fee. So now they will spend about $25k for the whole project (they are off maintenance) and have the shitty work order implemented vs. my $30k and a partner who is trying to do the right thing. Plus I warned them that there new system will be alot slower as they have 100base-t and don't want to consider mas200 or terminal services or any hardware upgrades. I don't see a future for this product line and the type of customers it seems to attract now days.

Don't they believe a thing you tell them about how WO SUCKS, is really not supported by Sage any longer and that in the long run they are spending tons more money?

That's pathetic. What's even more pathetic is it sounds like the other partner has just ""won"" a crap client. Any idea who the huckleberry is?

I avoid manufacturing. I just do not find long term that it is Sage MAS90 core strength. Job Ops sounds great but I'd never do enough to be an expert. I am seeing very little orphan work that is not 10 user (or higher) wholesale distribution that's worth pursuing. Anything less and you are renting the business because they tend to leave. New users I have seen that mention manufacturing seem to be looking for some Hail Mary - usually very low price and a system to recreate their bizarre 1990 era system.
