  • 1.  YE 1099 Processing

    I am looking for something from Sage that states there are NO IR YE patches for accounts payable.  I find nothing in the Year End FAQ's on the subject. Based on my KB search skills, I need something more reassuring than that to pass along to clients who have installed YE patches for 1099's.  Can someone verify that no YE patches are forthcoming?  Maybe even send the link to the Sage announcement?

    I have this:

    Sage has released the following regarding year-end requirements –

     

    • There is no IRD for 2023

     

    • Payroll V2.24 has been released and is compatible with the following –
      • 2023
      • 2022
      • 2021
      • 2020

     

    • Form 1099 Tax Reporting for 2023 requires installation of the 2022 IRD unless the following versions are installed –
      • 2023.0 – 2023.2
      • 2022.3 – 2022.5
      • 2021.6
      • 2020.0 – 2020.6 – requires Program Fix CI6200T

     

    Note:  Customers not running a compatible version of Sage 100 will experience a failure of the Payroll update installation and the inability to generate 1099's, W-2's or associated tax reporting documents.

    Sage posted information in Partner Hub starting in April 2023. I think some or all of it was listed as "internal only," which doesn't help relay information to customers.

    Sage has this KB: 

    Payroll and 1099 compatibility for Sage 100 for tax year 2023


    It's also worth noting that the payroll KB linked above advises that Payroll supported versions is N-3 while Sage 100 full version support appears to be N-2 based on this supported versions article.  I questioned Sage about the difference in supported versions during one of the BPAC Award Winner of the quarter calls, and they didn't think it was an issue.
