Wouldn't you know it!! I have a client that actually LOOKS at the inventory turn report. Now he is asking SILLY questions like, how does it work because it doesn't seem to make sense? I'll look into the exact dates but I wonder if they are turning it too fast for MAS to calculate. Note from the client: Can you explain how we can sell products without being credited for any inventory turns? In the cases shown below, inventory was purchased/received prior to the sales order being shipped back out; there are however other parts in which the receipt and sales order were done the same day. The result in either case is no turns being recorded. Is ""Average Inventory"" only just looking at the quantity on hand at the end of each month instead of doing a daily inventory average? It appears that MAS is doing something to this effect. Since the overall items sold and items issued are used in the calculation for total inventory turns I want to ensure that the numbers are not being skewed, which right now they are. Anyone ever run into these types of questions before?

If you click on the help for the report, then click on Turnover Calculations under Related Topics, it gives you how it is calculated. I had to look this up in order to recreate it for a client one time. (which only sort-of worked out)

And you do have to close on a timely basis for it to work.

Well it certainly appears that they are closing their periods. It is currently on 3/12. Not sure how timely they are however. It appears that thsee items are bought and resolc. See attached. Transactions are for the past year.
