Would we have enough members interested in actively collaborating on improving the resources we all use during the annual upgrade?
We have a DropBox that I keep all upgrade files in - and that works great but I know it can be improved.
I'm very weak on effectively giving a ""here are the new features of xxx version that we've just upgraded to"" - there should really be a monthly webinar that we could funnel our customers to -- or even just a set of more personalized documents we send which show the top features.
We have a great Evernote database of problems that come up during the upgrade but could probably use more. Maybe even a separate notebook of common troubleshooting (how to reinstall FRX, F9, workstation setup, etc) we could provide to IT. (No I don't expect lots of upgraders to use it but maybe if our top users do that would be enough).
There seems to be a tremendous amount of repeatable steps that I think we are all doing and some of those are very ripe for collaboration ---- without having to change our internal processes all that much.
Lets face it our business is becoming one of support and upgrades and the more we can make these as streamlined as possible the more that we potentially make. This is definitely probably not of interest for everyone but maybe an active 1/2 dozen or so will be interested enough?
