Would there be interest in doing a formal meet and greet at the hotel on Thu night and allowing vendors to set up tables and shake hands and talk to members? I think it definitely falls under ""giving sponsors 150%"" and it gives everyone that is coming up a more organized night of activity. @JimWoodhead - what do you think the hotel would charge us to do this? We would need tablespace for 8 vendors (we could use the big room itself for this) and drinks.

Definitely. Note that happy hour is from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The only issue is when do we go to dinner. Last time the east coaster(s) complained it was too late ( @WayneSchulz can you come out a day earlier to climatize yourself :) )

How about if we take the vendors to dinner - although then it locks them into just talking to one or two people vs the group.

So .. no tables but we will all go to dinner on Thursday? That works for me and it keeps the pain down for organization. My guess is that there would be an outside chance that the vendors might even pick up the tab on Thursday. Not a sure thing though.

Yes - that's what I'm thinking. Thu night dinner is open to all sponsors as a type of meet and greet. The Sat dinner and event night are still closed to only the applicable sponsors. Works for me.

I have arranged an area in the atrium so that we can partake of the free happy hours (for hotel guests) and have a MOTM area for heavy appetizers for 90 mind members. When the bar closes at 7:30 the vendors can start buying drinks!!!

BTW cost of the food is around 40+ a head. room is free

Agreed. I assume heavy appetizers = instead of dinner? I'm ok with it ... just want to know when I speak to sponsors about the meet and greet night.

We can keep it lite and head over to an over the street restaurant too.
