Would anyone like to ask a question of Joe Langner on Monday through me? Apparently he will be onsite at the Academy to answer Q&A. Let me know if there are questions and I will do what I can to ask them.

Per your earlier posting, will they be doing ERP road shows anytime soon to try and alleviate the frustrations/uneasiness/unhappiness/misunderstandings/etc./etc./etc. of the channel?

No but I will predict the answer with 80% certainty: Our [survey, net promoter, customers tell us] they are happiest when Sage [provides/sells/controls] a bigger portion of the relationship. And when we speak to partners privately that's what they tell us too.

Amusing that a company that wants to expand their relationship with ""their"" customers avoids having conversations and direct interactions with them at all costs.

I asked Dennis back in August whether there were plans to do a road show and he seemed shocked I'd even suggest such a thing. If you ask me I have to believe a lot of Sage exec positions are in jeopardy. Once they start rocking the boat with the channel reducing exec overhead may be next.

Anyone have questions for Monday apart from Thereses's?

    Peter, why bother?

We had price changes 2/27 and now 4/1. What will June's pricing look like?

I met Joe at ITA. Waste of time.

Ditto on Wayne's comment. Reminds me of the old saying ""How do you know when a Sage employee is lying? Their lips are moving.

Don't forget about the tier change effective 4/1. Tier now moves both ways every quarter!

Careful - they might decide to have quarters where you can only move down.

I think it's reasonable for them to charge a higher reseller fee for people that are in lower tiers. A lot of partners and customers are privately demanding it, in fact.

    Too funny!

The larger partners have privately bitched about smaller partners ever since I've been working with Sage. With partners taking on competitors - it seems far mor likely they'd key tier to something like renewal, win back or being Sage Select.

Why would large parners have a problem with smaller vars? Can't tell if that was supposed to be a joke...

Larger partners historically have complained that smaller partners are less capable, interfere in their deals by discounting (either product or rates), diminish their value by inventing names such as ""Lifestyle Consultant"" and are generally a pain in the ass they'd rather not deal with.

I'm also in Sage Academy with Peter and Bob this week. Is the consensus that it pointless to ask Joe Langner any serious questions?

Kaite Krueger and I from ASI are here as well - so if there are any questions (so far, not really?) we are open to asking....

I'm here too. And looking all over for Bob.

Just teasing you Myron. Bob's my brother.

Then ""redneck"" is an appropriate name if you have a brother named ""Bob"" ;)
