    Would anyone has a working Positive Pay Export for Citizens Bank?

    Why is this bank an issue? I have found positive pay exports quite easy to do (much more so that ACH).

    I haven't gotten into the details yet. The customer tried to do themselves and sent me a lengthy email about how they were stumped. Before I log in and look I figured I'd ask.

    The first time can be daunting. Header or no header. Hardest part was inserting the bank account information. Once past that, smooth sailing.

    Never did that bank, per se. But I think I recall there are two types of checks that you want to identify as voids, Voids, of course, and Reversals. And how you treat them varies from bank to bank. Some want them omitted. Some don't want a negative sign, some do. Rant: If ever there was a file type to standardize amongst all institutions, why for the lovva god don't they standardize ACH and Positive Pay!

    @RhondaMcNamara sadly ACH is technically a standard. Unfortunately, banks don't use them in the standard way.

    My point exactly! They all say ""standard NACHA format"" and then you submit a file and ""oh noooo, we need a space here and a 1 there and put the bank name where the customer name usually goes. sheesh

    Part of the problem is that there are options in the NACHA standard which allow banks to have flexibility in how data is transferred to them. Maddening, is what it is.

    I'm with you all on the NACHA thing. I had another consultant in my office ask me how much to create ACH settings for one of our clients. When she told me that the bank doesn't have a layout guide because they use a ""standard NACHA"" format I chuckled. (and added to my time estimate).

    I'm with you, @KerrieGuarino. The biggest PIA when implementing ACH is getting someone at the bank to work with who knows anything.

    Way back when, a Sage support rep told me that the NACHA format was a fixed standard. Ha!

    @BarbaraGoldstein - Too true!

    Totally, Kerrie! My best friend at the bank is the person who will let me email them a test file to approve.

    Would any of you be interested in pooling the various bank file layouts into shared directory on DropBox? Could be a great benefit for everyone and help our customers too.

    That sounds like a great resource but being as paranoid as I am, be sure to backfill account numbers and company names with dummy info.

    ACH or Positive Pay? In the form of (doctored) screen shots of the setup screens?

    I agreed, screen shots would need to be doctored..... We can't have actual account numbers

    Even just having the layout documents with generic info helps. I have a file that I drop them in each time I work with a new bank. I'm willing to scan them and upload them to the drop box.
