Working with a client's IT on a 2013-2016 upgrade plan. They are running 2013 on a Windows Small Business Server 2011. Not planning on changing servers. Going through my Interview questions, per the Upgrade Workbook on Evernote and asked if the MS Windows Script Host processor is present on the server. Answer: No. Discussed why it may be used. IT looks to install it, and responds: ""Sorry but I cannot find the download for ""MS Windows Script Host processor"" If it has another name please let me know."" Is this Windows component even available for their O/S? And if not, is this component typically present on later O/S's or is it installed separately? I don't know what to tell him.

Type cscript at a command (dos) prompt. You should get something that looks like the attached file. Windows Host Script gets installed during the .NET installation. Sage requires .NET as a prerequisite, so WHS should get installed automatically when .NET is installed.

@DougHiggs Thanks - passed that info along. Maybe I can take that off the checklist.

That paragraph emanates originally from old Sage blurbage circa Windows 2000 era. Every modern o/s has the WSH installed by default. Cross it off your list.
