Working on Sage Intelligence GL report. I brought in the Main accounts and Main Account descriptions when I wrote the report. I changed a description in main account maintenance but the description in the SI report does not change. Am I missing something or does the description field in SI become static and does not refresh when a change is made in MAS?

It will update. Are you refreshing a saved report or running it directly within Report Manager?

I can't figure out how to make it refresh. I am running it directly within Report Manager

Are you using Report Designer Add In? If yes, then the description will not update on a tab you already had setup. If you create a new tab, drag and drop the account and account description then you will see the updated description. You will have to manually change it on any tabs previously created.

If you dragged and dropped from the 'Lists' tool, then the descriptions are static. If you use the S.I. formula GLAccountDescription(""ABC"") then the description will refresh every time you generate the report, where if you reference the main GL segment only the description comes from Main Account Maintenance, else if you reference the full GL account, the description comes from GL Account Maintenance.
