Working on a test upgrade from 4.05 to 4.5. Inventory from 2004 and 2005 that was not showing up on valuation/stock status reports is now showing up and things are out of balance....any thoughts why this would happen?

Does this show up during the pre-migration? Is it only appearing after you migrate and convert? I've seen this occur during the pre-migration and had to use the utilities. I don't think we ever received an exact reason though some theories were the use of the ""fix"" utility and/or data corruption.

During pre-migration, did you choose to match to the Transaction Detail or to the Stock Status/Valuation Detail. If you selected to use the Transactions, the other side would be adjusted accordingly. And vice versa.

I chose to match the transasction detail. I may need to go back and re-run that though since I'm seeing items that weren't even active suddenly become active??

I suppose it doesn't hurt to re-do the migration if users aren't using the new version yet.
