Working on a Crystal Report in MAS 200 4.4. All reports work fine but one report errors out with ""Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details:50000 [Proviex] [ODBC driver] [FILEIO] Table is not accessible [Database vendor code: 12]"". I am stumped

If you are using the ProvideX I/O service, stop it and re-start it.

There is an article for payroll with vendor code 12 that talks about a corrupted PR dd file - maybe could be related to a ddicts file for the data you are trying to pull? Have seen lots of vendor code 9 which is a bad date in the file but not 12.

It is just on the Sage KB - there are a couple other articles on the Archive KB talking about the ODBC driver but if other reports work that probably isn't the issue. I just searched for ""vendor code 12

I see discussion in Sage City here: http://sagecity.na.sage.com/support_communities/sage100_erp/f/98/t/39220.aspx Essentially saying that the ODBC in one case was pointing to the wrong instance of Sage. Usually the last version of Sage logged into is where the ODBC points. In one cases the users said changing the CS ODBC preferences (assuming you're using CS ODBC) worked to eliminate this error.

Wayne, Thanks. I saw this but if this was the problem why are all the other reports working?

Hey Zalmi, I wondered about that as well. It seems like the problem is just this one report. Have you tried to Verify Database and Set Datasource Location?

I found this in an old thread: Open Crystal Reports Click Database - Show SQL Query - Reset
