Worked on a client over the weekend removing a large add on from their 4.3 MAS90 system. The process was remove addon data files, uninstall addon, remove keys from sy_enhancement and sy_enhancementclass THEN reinstall MAS90 and addons that were staying. All pretty standard. First problem was the reinstall balked as it could not determine the current version, resolution was to rename the uninstall folder. Second problem was reports all throwing up PVXIO error, resolution was to copy pvodbsec.ini and pvxsec3e2.dll from backup folder. I give you all that for background, now for the real problem...Thought all was good at that point. Now they are live this morning and any crystal report with a udf is crashing crystal, it just closes when doing anything, run report, verify database, etc... I am thinking the dictionaries are messed up. I did not ""update"" the udfs over the weekend. I can do that now, but I have to kick out 45 users. OR can I copy over the dictionary files from the backup I made prior to all this FUN? If that is an option, which files do I copy, providex.dde and ddf in the MAS90 folder? Are there any others I am not thinking about? TYIA

Crises resolved. Got everybody out and updated all the UDFs. Still not sure why the dictionaries needed to be updated. Wasn't like it was a new install or a parallel upgrade.

This makes sense and glad to hear you updated all UDFs. You are on a better path this way. Given the background you provided, hard to say why that was needed but anytime the UDF's are not showing it's automatic in my book.
