A few years ago, back when people could still congregate and breathe their unfettered breath on one another, there was a vendor at Insight/Summit/Whatever demonstrating a third party app that let you control your WO scheduling.  It was similar to what Job Ops had, I think - I just remember purty colors in rows and being able to drop and drag things around.  Does anyone remember that/have a client using that?  Pretty sure it wasn't JUST for Sage products, and I have a client on WO (still) right now who will be moving to SAP eventually, and thought this might work with both of their packages.

The only one I have seen lately is JobPack - very similar to what you describe. They integrate with most manufacturing packages, including JobOps and Operations Management. I don't remember them at Insights/Summit/Whatever, though. (jobpack.com)

Yes, I have spoken with Peter several times. I have a new customer adding Operations Management and they have been using JobPack for 4 years. We will be integrating the two. Also, it replaces "Enhanced" Scheduling, so you don't need that module from Operations Management.

As for my new customer, they love JobPack. I had to prove to them that Operations Management was going to do what they require and integrate to JobPack. The integration will be both directions.

I agree with John – the one client I sold it to has not complained and continues to pay for the M & S (or subscription – cannot remember).

Wait @John Hoyt... there is a bi-direction integration to JobPack for Operation Management (JobOps)?  really?  I thought it was only a read function?

It may be just read. Peter gets carried away when he talks about the integration, which seems to be "whatever you need".
