Work Order question - oh joy! In Operation Code Maintenance, prior to some change that we can't seem to diagnose, we have 375 in the Fixed Overhead, % of Cost. This calculates as 375% of labor. Now, we have it set up the same way and it calculates as 375% of all costs. In the manual/help it says,""By Applying overhead based on hours, overhead is applied only labor only. By applying overhead based on cost, overhead is applied to labor plus any other costs...."" So where is the flag or setting that determines whether we are applying overhead based on just hours or everything? I feel like I've searched everywhere and am losing the tiny portion of my mind that remains. thanks in advance! @DebThomas - maybe you know what I'm doing wrong or missing???

I thought if you enter a value in the % of Cost, then it's applied against all costs. A value entered in the Rate/Hour applies a $ amount against labor only. I don't believe there's any other flag to set that defines which it uses, except for identifying whether WO should use the labor rate established in Employee Maintenance vs. one defined in Operation Code Maintenance.

that's not the way it's working in our back up from a few months ago. in our backup company 375 sits in percentage of cost, and only charges on labor. if it's in the rate/hr it charges a fixed amount times the time/ hours spent on that operation code. it's crazy because we can see it working the way we want it to, but can't figure out the change to make in the live company

Is your backup the same PU? Maybe it was a bug that's been fixed?

the ""backup"" is actually in version 2014, from a test migration and the live data is 4.3. It's so strange because what you are saying matches the documentations/help/etc. - but it's not how it was working for them before, or in the backup/migrated company in 2014. I'm just looking for a simple flag somewhere that says, ""Only calc OH % on labor"" - either Work Order wide or in the work center or operation codes, but I can't find anything anywhere.
