Sage 100

Hi
v2017 - Default WC Code was available to add to the Employee Maintenance - Employee Lookup screen.  
v2020 - It's no longer available, nor can I create a UDF at PR_Employee and use PR_EmployeeTaxFilingStatus as a data source to copy from.

I could create a Manual UDF but that might confuse some users and they won't put the code in the designated field.

Anybody had this request and know of a way to resolve it?

Would seem to be a major deal.  What version of PR?  I don't think Sage v2020 is the issue.  In my v2021, PR2.21.1.1, I can set the default WC code (below).  Is WC configured in the Setup for that state?

if you click the lookup at Employee No and try to customize the lookup, the WC Code is not an available field to add to the lookup.  
If I try to create a UDF on Employee Maintenance (PR_EmployeeMaster), I can't source the field from the PR_EmployeeTaxFilingStatus.

Nancy, it sounds like you are running into a one-to-many situation, like lines on an order, and only a one-to-one can be seen in the ALE.  This may be why you can't source the UDF, also, since there could be more than one state setup for taxes, each with its own WC code.
