  • 1.  WO Trans Entry import works great, until I turn on batches

    Posted 09-01-2021 16:02

I have an import that works perfectly fine until I turn on the batch option: WO trans Entry - importing labor transactions. Has anyone seen this before? Even when I maually create the batch and assign, runtime assign, or import that batch # it doesn't work. All tests and all logs show that everything imports succesfully, but nothing gets created.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

    Hi Eric!
I had something similar with a different import but it ended up that the order of the columns was super important. It might help to walk through manually putting in an entry and make sure the column order is the same in your VI job. Good luck!

Thanks Kate - I'll try the old "rebuild the VI job from scratch" test and pay close attention to the order of the fields.

Eric - I don't know if it applies to current versions but in the old daze, I think ya had to add default Header Perform Logic on the Records. It might be this one. This code block looks like it's common to all transaction types. If this works, just beware you may not be out of the woods just yet. There could me more to deal with. Like Kate said, good luck (cuz you'll need it).

Alnoor - you are my hero!

This literally took me 15-30 min to setup and test without batches turned on. And then 2 hrs to figure out why it won't work with batches.

FYI - if anyone else runs across this, I'm importing employee labor transactions only and I'm using WO.TXLABNC (WO Trans Entry - Labr, No-Crew).

You have to deselect "Header Information Included in Detail Line" to see the Header Record option on the records tab. Once you add that and the perform logic (see Alnoor's screen shot above), accept the job, then go back in and select "Header Info included in line detail" - if necessary.
