Client is on v2019.2
- They are using Avatax
- They are using Work Order with the old ACS WOEP enhancement (not sure what it's called now).
- They are using Average Cost valuation.
- On the attached Daily Transaction register (pages 1 and 2) there are four debits to the inventory account for $1.5m each, with matching credits to the COGS account, marked as WO NEG BAL ADJ. However, none of the components used in the production had negative costs anything close to $1K much less $1.5m. The matching Work Order transaction register is on Pages 5 and 6.
- The same issue occurred for another production to the tune of $93K.
- Of course they can make journal entries to fix, but they are insistent upon finding the cause and are anxious about a recurrence. We placed a call to Scanco on Monday, copying Ron Jacobs, and still haven't gotten a call back. Any thoughts?
On the bright side, they are moving to Manufacturing on January 11. Average Cost may still be an issue, but I'm hedging bets that this particular extreme issue is related to Work Order and/or WOEP.
