With the release of V4.5, it appears that the new unlocking keys include an extra user for SageCRM. If this is the case, what is this going to do for 3rd party enhancements (e.g. JobOps) that require matching user counts?

I thought the whole ""JobOps user license must match standard MAS 90/200 user license"" was an honor system thing - and that the system will still function even if they didn't match.

Waiting on feedback from Sage (hopefully not like the Energizer bunny though). A client recently committed to implementing JobOps and wanted to go with a 25 user license. Two months ago, they purchased a single user license that put their total at 19. Last week, they bought six additional to move them to the 25 total matching their JobOps committment. I install the keys on Friday and now the system shows (as does their profile on SSO) a total of 26 users. Even though I was schooled in ""New Math"" back in the day, to me 19 + 6 equal 25, not 26. The only thing that comes to mind is the SageCRM license provided in v4.5. During Beta, they even made a big deal about getting a new unlocking key. My office copy of v4.5 now shows 21 users when it used to be 20.

I almost hate to mention this in public, but if the end user is NOT using SageCRM, they are all getting a free MAS user, right?

It is my understanding that Sage will no longer include a single user license with Lbrary Master any longer, and the minimum user license count will be 3 users, so anyone who had sold small 1 or 2 user count systems will be SOL in the future.

Update from Sage, even though the user count says 26, client has purchased a 25 license even though MAS thinks the count is 26. You do have to enter the new keys for v4.5 in order to get the extra license but you DON'T have to be on v4.5. This particular client is still on V4.4.
