With the previous discussion bearing as much fruit as it did, I pose another question: Are you recommending/implementing/supporting e-Business Manager or an alternative shopping cart integration? Why and/or why not?

My two hang-ups regarding e-Business Manager are the lack of controls/customization when working from within Sage 100 and the fact that if Sage 100 goes offline, so does the shopping cart. Instead, we have worked with ROI Consulting for shopping cart integration (the web developers and shopping cart can do what they do best and Sage 100 can do what it does best).

I am going to agree with Brian. e-BM is very old technology... out-dated for sure. The lack of SEO compatibility it a huge issue.

E-Biz - Yet another example of something getting thrown against the wall 10 years ago just to say MAS had E-Business capabilities. Sadly, like most things Sage, V2.0 was never released..............

I am not actively recommending eBM. I would rather recommend eBusiness Web services, but Sage released it with version 4.40 and haven't done a thing with it. And there is no future development mentioned on the roadmap.

What everyone above said. I also avoid getting too in deep. This is usually a very messy pissing match with an existing web developer who wants their tools. Lack of SEO will bite you on EBM.
