With respect to Sage 100 payroll tiers. For customers that only use payroll integrated with Timecard and ONLY for pulling employee info (NO payroll checks) have any of you received info from Sage that the price for payroll for these customers is the minimum tier of $550? I had one customer who was in the above situation who opted NOT to pay the Sage $550 min payroll tier. I have another customer coming up on renewal who uses Timecard + Payroll (but only to pull employee info / no paychecks). I am ready to quote them $550 because I believe that's what the correct payroll tier for this situation is (min fee). Has anyone heard or had a customer billed anything differently?

What is the minimum number of employees necessary to get the $550 pricing? I asked for pricing on a 20 employee company last Friday and received a quote for $800 from Sage.

Yes. I have the same situation. The end user uses time card and doesn't print checks, they outsource. I have another quote I received this week. They have been off plan since 2011 so I am not sure if this makes a difference. The quote shows $720 for Time Card, $750 for Payroll (less than 25 employees) and a one time up front fee of $2500.

Maybe the price changes based on market supply and demand... like the commodities market. Reps making the quote just pull the price du jour out of the air.

This is what I've been going off for payroll tier pricing. I've been quoting the lowest tier for Timecard users (no paycheck or W2). I did one upgrade where the user had TC but did not elect to subscribe to payroll. The payroll upgraded but they could not get into the module. They could still use Crystal and VI to access payroll data. They've tentatively decided to change employee data via VI. I can't say for sure whether payroll will continue to migrate (say when they UG from 2016 to 2017+) but it would seem like Sage would want it to so they could more easily sell them that payroll subscription to unlock the benefits of payroll. I also expect when payroll 2.0 hits the streets Sage will goose these numbers and probably do away with the ability to join tiers without that initial fee.

WTH... I just received a quote on Friday for maximum 20 employees (they only have 17 now) and Sage quoted $800. According to your price chart it should have been $600.... unless they raised prices again.

There are two sections on this price list - one for existing customers and one for new customers. Maybe Sage quoted off the new customer chart though I think that would be $750

This is an existing customer that is current on maintenance. Unless the pricing has changed since 4/2016 the quote should have been $600.

I agree. I'm looking in MySageSell for a current copy of the spreadsheet used to generate quotes.

I could only find 4/18/2016 in MySageSell so it seems the price should be the same. Could also be that they misread the payroll tiers since up to 50 (next tier) is $800

Yes, could be a mistake. I just sent off an email asking for clarification.

MY mistake! The quote from Sage reads $600 not $800. I sent the quote from Sage to the client and it read $600, yet in the body of my email I stated it was $800. Seems I need to use the pdf zoom or get my eyes checked.
