Windows Server 2012 Standard running on VMWARE During the initial install for Sage 100 ERP 2013 (right click - run as admin) I'm being prompted that .NET Framework 3.5 Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Runtime Libraries Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Libraries Are needed. The install then proceeds to ask if I want to begin installing these requirements. Then it barfs: CreateProcess failed for the following command line: c:\users\administrator.voile-usa\windows\sysnative\dism.exe /online /enable-feature /FeatureNameNetFx3 /SourcePrerequisites\Win8_2012\64bit\xsx /ALL /LimitAccess This happens both when logged in on the account they provided as well as logged in as the Administrator. Any thoughts?

When I try to manually locate the .NET Framework 3.5 from Microsoft and install it returns an error: Windows Server Roles and features cannot be automatically installed or uninstalled via the Windows Features Control Panel. To install Windows Server roles and features start server manager or use the server manager cmdlets for Windows PowerShell.

I don't know what errors I got, but one time it was the anti-virus. Turned it off and they loaded fine.

This error is making me think there's some incompatibility with the Sage install routine and the attempt to install pre-requisites ?

.Net framework is a feature on Windows Server that hasn't been turned on - it sounds like Sage is trying to install it instead of enabling it as the error message instructs.

I asked the IT person to install the three missing components separately. Will test later and update.

Update: Customer IT staff installed the .NET 3.5 and then I was able to have Sage 100 automatically install the C++ (two) runtime libraries. I did this all while logged in as Administrator and right click ""run as administrator"" on the autorun

I have had the same issue with two clients. .Net had to be installed manually and then C++ 05 and 10 installed fine.

I thought I'd add that I ran into the same issue and IT was not available the following link helped me install .NET 3.5 on my own. http://beyondrelational.com/modules/2/blogs/46/posts/11021/installing-net-35-framework-in-windows-server-2008-r2.aspx
