Thanks Wayne – they do only have 4 users.
Are there any reasons that you can think of to stay away from R2?
I always thought R2 was the one to make sure was installed.

I would stay away from 2008 R2 - I think
Foundation refers to a version pre-installed on certain servers. It sounds like it was for very small user count environments.
And while 2008 R2 is technically supported - that support vanishes in January 2020 when Microsoft drops support for 2008 R2.
