Sage 100

Win. Server 2016 Standard new dedicated server for Sage 100 2017 ADV. Unable to install Crystal Reports 2011 from Sage install media, error is ""Failed to update setup engine executilbles. Program will exit. OK"". There is no active Anti-virus running on the server yet and no issues installing the myriad of other things, just Crystal 2011. Sage advised to try renaming C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP Business Objects\Install Data but that directory doesn't even exist. I have tried different install media. I suspect this is a Win. Server 2016 Standard conflict since I have not installed on this OS before. Does anyone know what this fix for this is?

Are you Running setup.exe as Admin? Is Smartscreen enabled?

Perhaps a corrupted install media? I always insist the initial install be done as the System administrator which usually avoids issues like this.

Its not the media, transferred 2nd set and same error, everything else also installed no issue. The smart screen is not enabled and yes ran as administrator. Any other ideas, do you know anyone who has installed it on win server 2016?

I have v2017 Adv installed and running on 2016 server Std. No issues encountered during install.

Same issue on Win Server 2016 Standard. I'm not getting any error message, it just won't run and did select to run as admin. This is 4.5 version, so I thought that was the issue. Now I wonder.
