If I attended Summits based strictly on Sage's content, I would have stopped attending many years ago. The reason I attend now is two fold - Guide my clients through the Sage maze to show them Sage and vendor solutions to their operation issues and to network with Sage employees in the outside chance that I could influence some sort of product development. This rarely happens any more as all product development is sales driven and no remaining product manager is willing to advocate for non ""cloud"" innovations (like fixing WAD bugs). The third benefit is networking with other 90M'ers or meet resellers who might be interested in the group.
Will I be going to the first show? Nope. I live on the east coast and have zero clients who might attend. This is the same reason I did not attend any west coast road shows last year. I did attend the Chicago show with two clients and a prospect. But I did not go to the Big Apple or Atlanta events (east coast but no clients). If the show was two months before or after MOTM, I still would not go. No clients!
I will be attending Atlanta in all likelihood. I will have some clients there, I will introduce them to Sage personnel, I will specifically give my clients talking points (they won't need prompting though) about what is wrong (or possibly right) with the product and what they would like to see for the future. My clients will feel better but I probably won't as I am looking for enhancements promised in Vegas. I am looking forward to the I-BN bash that @BobTobey will be hosting and might even pick up @DianeRuth on my drive down.
