Sage 100

So this is weird - have a client whose line Comment field ended up on their secondary grid.  When they pull it back up into the primary grid, it's really really really wide.  I can bop mine back and forth and that doesn't happen.

I tried to customize them, but there is no option for changing the width of a line field - just hiding or adding.

Will I need to go behind the scenes and modify a system file?  Of course I will.  Which one?

Reset panel, reset grids should do it... but the table which stores grid data is SY_GridDefinition.

They probably double-clicked to resize the field when there was a really long comment, and that width would have been saved in that table.

There is a Standard record for the field, though there may be a set of records for the specific company and/user that actually needs to be adjusted.  The last field in the table record needs to be modified.

So I created a custom screen just for this person, then deleted it, and Comment went back the way it should have been.  *Scooby Do noises*

Yes.  Move the field to the upper grid, then close the panel completely for that user / workstation.  Then adjust the value for the correct row (user / workstation specific), and try again.
