  • 1.  Why so many M4L files

    Hello everyone

    I have upgraded a client from 2017 Premium to 2020 Premium. They've been live for well over a month and things overall are going well. One issue I do have is with Custom Office. When I click on Customizer Selection > Customized Panels, it can take as much as 5 hours for that window to load. If I need to do any maintenance, which I'm doing right now, I need to click on the Customized Panels menu option in the early afternoon and wait till everyone's off the system. This is an installation that has more than 100 users, and users working in multiple time zones. There are more than 2000 m4l files in the module\Custom folders. I think that's why this feature takes too long to load. 

    Can these files be deleted, or will that simply trash all the panel customization?

    I'm in the habit of removing all unused / backup M4L's from each ##\CUSTOM folder (even if filed into a DO NOT USE or BACKUP sub-folder) since they are recognized by Custom Office utilities, but don't do anything.
