Why is it software vendors ask you to download 220mb files. Then after downloading all that, and running a 15 minute install, it immediately says an update is available, proceeds to download another 220mb file and start over? A) Lazy original posting of files B) Anybody ever hear of patching software? VMWare, I'm talking to you!

Sounds like the Crystal install routine as well. No idea why they don't replace the versions since clearly two files of the same size would not appear to be merging changes only.

Just needed to hook up my HP all in one....250mb download...compressed. WTF? I remember the first $6,000 hard disk was 5mb... Talk about bloat.

Poor souls who don't have broadband...

Oh, and this is the 'basic' install for just driver and scanner. Not all the other HP Crapware
