Sage Payroll 2.x will auto-update (after prompt) the latest payroll tax tables. Why doesn't it do the same for important program fixes?
I understand the concern about enhancements but why not just have the system perform a check for enhancements and warn? I understand that Time Track is bolted onto Payroll (poor design decision?).
It seems if you are trying to match competitive features with other products that prompting to update your payroll program -- which now is a separate standalone so should be much easier to achieve -- should be a goal if not already in place.
And just in case, add in a feature to save any program files overwritten so that rollback could always happen...
What have I missed in this logic?
