Why can't a numeric UDF with four decimal places be created? Is there a work around? We need to record an exchange rate with four decimals for invoice history purposes. We could use a string field but that's somewhat of a pain.

I was thinking that it would store the 4 no matter what that error says, but I just tried a numeric field in Vendor Maintenance and it would only store TWO, not even three! (This is in 2014.) That's not good....

So does it only display two, but retain 4 Therese?

Well, so glad it's working for you.. and I'll just ignore the fact that it's not for me in a test company. I THOUGHT I had seen it store 4 before (because I just blow through warnings - ha!).

Yeah, that's me.... although I'm pretty sure it's tied into laziness somehow.
