Who took the Sage 100 Re-Certification and what was the focus of the exam? I suspect it will be a lot of payroll 2.0 questions. Did you find any guides particularly helpful? IF so, which ones?

I would love to know too. I need to pass the exam by 1/18.

I watched the videos last week and took the exam. Passed. Content based on the videos except for one Job Cost question just for fun. Really pretty straight forward with most questions on Payroll and the conversion process. If you start converting a company code and stop half way through, it saves your data. (Hint)

I watched the videos last week also and took the exam Saturday. 14 questions on Payroll, the other 6 on new features on 2017 & 2018. Much of the information on the videos made it's way into the exam.

It's hard for me to remember so much content in the videos so I've been typing like a mad woman in between payroll taxes, W-2's, 1099's. This is soooooo frustrating! I think 2.0 will be good once they work the bugs out however I'm a bit concerned about setting up a new process of getting client's data and preparing their payroll taxes and W-2's for them with the new PII encryption. Changing the key is an option however I'm not sure what that would do to the rest of the companies! Lots yet to learn and lots of new things. I always stress out about these tests!

Same for me. I took screenshots of the graphics on videos. I don't think I would have passed without the screenshots

@CooperBlack, I did too and I agree. There is one question I got wrong, but I don't know why (has to do with number of places you can disable spell-check).

Just in case anyone is wondering what the issue is - the videos are a scattershot set of short video segments - and cover 2017 and 2018

None of the videos are longer than 5-6 minutes. Payroll 2.0 is SO different, it is worth the time to see the videos. I typically just review the docs but I don't think I would have gotten the concepts of not.

@BarbaraGoldstein I agree. There was one question that I missed as well and cannot figure out why.

I missed one question on where you can disable the spell check... it's either a trick or Sage is scoring wrong as I went back and watched the video for 2018 features and it has the same answer I had. This was one of the easier exams. Take it RIGHT after watching the payroll videos. I used the KB for questions I wasn't sure about for the regular new release feature questions. Questions on payroll didn't seem to go deep but they definitely went from the videos. I don't think you'll be able to search the KB or What's New In Payroll for many of the payroll specific ones.

What is the right answer to this? The What's new video only references System Configuration - unless there was another 15 second video buried somewhere that gave more info.

Also answered Wayne's question the same and got counted incorrect - test must be flawed. I don't see spell check anywhere else.

Did it tell you the _correct_ answer **for the spell-check question**? And do I dare select the _wrong_ answer?

No, they don't tell you the correct answers.

Oh right, I forgot these cert's have nothing to do with education and learning. :(

It's a two-part answer, and Sage definitely blew it, it's both the System Configurator and _when adding a multi-line user-defined field (UDF) to a screen, you can select whether to enable spell check._ They failed to list the correct second option.

Crap, for some reason all the videos and Assessment are showing as Expired in my SageU account, so it doesn't appear I can access anything. It shows that I'm registered for all of them, which I don't recall doing. I did see something about expiring 90 days from registering. And I'm also seeing that the Expiration Date of the Certification is today (1/17) with a Due Date of tomorrow (1/18). {SIGH}

Looks like I'm now in. Had to click the Expired button on the main Transcript page.

Oh no! @BrettZimmerman Try: View Transcript Click _What's New in Payroll version 2018_ and then click the down arrow right of Open Curriculum button and choose view training details. It should expose all the training videos. Btw - I tested today and the expiration for the training videos still shows 10/18/2018 when I just logged in.

I gotta say, I actually learned a decent amount, especially re: the new Payroll, watching the v2018 videos for the re-Certification.

I was on the road visiting a customer site and watched in the hotel. It was pretty good - I liked the short format. I didn't like that there were so damn many of them that I had to keep flipping out of one and into the other. Also, the program Sage uses didn't correctly record that you watched the video unless you let it play all the way to the very end.

Waiting till the last minute. Had to call to reactivate my certification. A little mixup on the dates. From ease of getting it changed via a phone call, I suspect I was not the lone caller today.

I'm not sure if answering the surveys are required for completion of the section, but it took 30% longer to complete the sections be cause of the surveys.

@SteveEngmann - You are right. You can miss four and still pass....

OK, I loved the videos so much I want to watch them again. But when I go back to the original viewing spot, they are unavailable. Is this a one and done type of show. I thought they were called ANY time for a reason, not ONE time. Or can someone point me to the video that explains how to access the Anytime library. TIA

I felt the need to e-mail SageU: Are you aware that there's at least one question on the Sage 100 v2018 re-Certification Exam that's marked as wrong even when the correct answer is specified? It's the question about where to disable the 'spell-check' feature. The answer is clearly System Configuration, but everyone has had this question marked as wrong. Not fair. And it seems odd, if not silly, that the Review page that shows your Assessment results doesn't inform of the correct answers for the wrongly-answered questions. **_Response:_** Thanks for letting us know about this question, it is being corrected now. Please note that assessment results do not include correct answers for those answered incorrectly to maintain the integrity of its results for those that may need to take it more than once.

You didn't ask for your test to be rescored??

For the record. the Acumatica U and certification exams are SO MUCH BETTER. They don't have the trick question and actually ask some application questions....

I agree that they should show you the right answer so you know what you did wrong! That part always irritated me and I have asked in the past. I agree with Cooper about the trick questions which is why I wish they would just give us the scripts they are reading from the videos. I have typed for hours on end to try to get everything down because of the trick questions. There is a LOT more said than just what's on the screens. I do agree also that there are a lot of good things to this level but wow the timing is awful! I'm also concerned about these new taxes, I can see that becoming a virtual nightmare until everybody gets the swing of it!

Agreed. The payroll taxes are going to be a bear. It reminds me of the AR/ SO sales tax setup. This could go really wrong. Any thoughts on how we get the hang of setting that up. Strategies, examples, etc??

I can see giving customers a set of the Sage U videos to study.
