While I'm waiting for Sage Support, I thought I would check here. Our client is on 2015 and added 4 additional licenses about 4 months ago to 21 users. Today, no one is able to login when the user count reaches 17 which was the old user count. Has anyone else seen this?

Well, yeah, when Sage screwed up the keys. What does *info say about the number of licenses? Are there any hung users viewable on the console?

Terminal server? If so, you need to replace:update the activate.pvx file from the server to the 'workstation'

Info says 21 and 1 available and console shows 17 active users. Not on a terminal service.

I posted a rant on this several months back. Sage could never figure it out (wow). What worked for me was switching over to STD mode login (this was an ADV) client where I was able to reset the keys in STD. Worked. Passed the tidbit on to Sage. They were dumbfounded.

Type in the new key values manually (not relying on the auto update feature). Then restart the service. I had a customer with this issue a couple months ago, and that was the fix.

My support case was 8006891636. Below is what I passed along to them. **Scott, Thanks for the assistance tonight verifying the keys for my client. While nothing that was suggested actually worked, I thought I would let everyone know what **DID** work. I shut off the v2017 ADV service and launched Sage using a STD icon. I then went to system configuration registration and updated. The user count increased (*info screen shot below). No clue why it worked in STD mode and not ADV, but at least I can move on now.**

After you do what Kevin suggested, make sure all Sage services are stopped, and execute the $ACTPVX.BAT file in the home folder. Then reboot the server. The services will then restart with the updated key.

Thanks for all of the advice. Just got off the phone with the client who told that no rebooting until tonight, so they will stay at 17 users for the day.
