While I wait for my old Windows XP monitor to warm up.... a client lost his admin password in MAS90 Standard v3.71. I think the file in the \MAS90\SOA folder is Sy0sec.SOA where the passwords are located. What happens if you delete the sy0sec.soa file. Does security go away? We tried the backdoor 09SAM but it's asking for the code from SAGE to created a new Admin password.

If you fill out the attached form and send it to Sage, they'll give you a code so you can reset the password.

Mike, there is a file that you can just rename and all the security goes away. when you launch MAS90 it just opens with no passwords and you can start fresh. it may be the file you mentioned (sy0sec.soa) but for some reason that doesn't sound right to me. I'll look for the exact file name and test it and get back to you

I Guess I was thinking of even older versions of Sage than version 3.71 BUT! Attached is a clean copy of SY0SEC.SOA. rename the sy0sec.soa in your installation and rename this and put it in the soa folder. it worked for me.

Thanks @DavidOverholt I'll have my client give this a try. I know it will clear the User ID's and passwords in 3.71. But my client is trying a parallel migration from 3.71 to 2014. I assume the migration tool is asking for both his 3.71 Admin password and his 2014 Admin password.

I don't think there is an ""ADMIN"" password in 3.71? I need to test that for my own piece of mind.
