I would imagine you would simply click on the Sales Order check box under the Security Events.

Or, why would the user NOT be able to change it? It is an order with a cc authorization but the user's role allows all cc overrides. I checked custom office and no customizations exist for SO entry (e.g. the field might be locked). What am I missing???

Sorry, no it is not checked but they do not want to allow updating of journals from preview. The Module Options is checked, however.

If they get the Sales Order Entry>Maintenance/DataEntry > Sales Order Entry (Create/Modify/Remove/or View) option under the Tasks tab that should do the trick.

Would it be related to credit limit checking and it being set to hold for users not able to override the credit limit

The customer is not on credit hold and has no credit limit. The order was manually entered as on hold due to something else. And the user has all credit limit access as well.

Partial solution I got from Sage: 3. Make a change on the line item quantities in Sales Order Entry. 4. System will prompt ""Do you want to change the status of the order?"" 5. Click 'Yes'. 6. Notice that cursor focus changes to Status field on header tab but does not change the status.

NEVER MIND!!! Connected to the customer and determined she was drilling down to SO inquiry from customer maintenance. WHY didn't I connect right away?? Thanks for all the help, though!

Lesson learned: Customers' explanation of the problem most always requires interpretation. :-)
