When will I learn to look at files defined in VI Import Job Maintenance before I open my big mouth and say ""sure, we can just import those new UDF values into BOM Production History Header""? Fortunately it was a checkbox and there were only 70 records to populate, but still, I've been bitten by this more times than I care to admit.

I just created a VI and did not see any table for BOM production history. There was a BOM header and BOM production transactions, but not one for history.

Yes. That's the rub. I just assumed BOM Production History would be there. Silly girl. That's what happens when you assume anything in VI.

Somewhere back in the archives is a post(s) most likely from Alnoor about how to tweak the data dictionary to make the table importable. But for ""only"" 70 records, is it worth it. But what are challenges for???

Bit the bullet and used DFDM to finish this project. I have instructions for adding ""missing"" fields to tables that are already importable but I'd love to learn how to add tables not already on the VI list.
