When we use Item Inquiry or Item Maintenance and a particular item has an extended description the ""Item Text Maintenance"" screen pops up once the item number is entered. Is there a setting, global or individual, that stops this screen from popping up unless the extended description call out is clicked on? I believe the answer here is no. Anyone have a different opinion or point me to the right way to suppress Extended Descriptions?

Thank you! Just started reading through more of the KB (the first one says you can't suppress when in grid - which I guess it's all in definition).

I think this option is a totally bass-ackwards option, anyway.

I believe to suppress it in the grid you simply move the regular description to the secondary grid so you won't get the popup since you are not tabbing through it causing the display.

@BethBowers is right regarding IM Maintenance Inquiry. It is handled by Security. @BillPfahnl is right regarding Order Entry (SO or PO), drag it off the primary grid and it no longer auto populates since you are not tabbing through (past) the field.

So - I can't get the unchecking of that box to work anymore in 2017. Anyone else confirm?
