When upgrading a client from Standard to Advanced on the subscription version, do we go thru sales to get advanced keys that will be in test mode so the clients current standard version does not get messed up?

This is a good question and I would suggest that Sage should be able to answer. I have been migrating people to 100cloud and often requesting upgraded keys (ie Standard -> Advanced). So far I haven't run into any issue where the prior (live) version has erroneously updated keys. That's not to say someone else hasn't or won't in the future just that so far I have not run into an issue. The issue I keep running into is that the customer thinks they will go from Standard to Advanced, requests the 100cloud migration with ADV keys. Then for whatever reason (there are several million or so it seems) they don't upgrade but need to take advantage of the bundle of products. So I have to go back to Sage and ask for Standard keys instead of Advanced. In that case I think the end user is supposed to email you the request to get Standard keys then you forward that to Sage. As of now any new 100cloud I'm just requesting the same platform until I have check in hand to book the upgrade.

Then at the time of a live conversion, don't yo have to uninstall the Standard version and then install the Advanced version?

My experience has been to use the new keys in the test install (which then becomes the new install), without any extra steps. When the customer stops using the older version (Standard in this case), only the new version (Advanced) will be maintained (have the keys ""automagically"" checked/updated).

I usually don't do anything with the old version until a few months then I will uninstall. I haven't encountered any odd issues with this practice (yet).
