When merging a customer into another - say Customer A into Customer B - do you know if Customer A has a tax exempt certificate on file will that merge into and overwrite Customer B?
Sage help says:
Sage says that when you merge to an existing customer:
- The resulting record has all the characteristics of the destination customer's files. Exceptions: Date of last activity, last payment date, last statement date, last fin charge. All numeric fields except customer discount rate and service charge rate are combined.
I would expect that the customer that was being merged INTO would have most of their info retained (except as above).
I've told the customer that I expect that the customer being merged INTO would hold onto most info except as outlined above.
Anyone deal with this previously and have another experience?
