When installing Sage 2013 workstation peer to peer

  • 1.  When installing Sage 2013 workstation peer to peer

When installing Sage 2013 workstation peer to peer I receive the following message: (printers) The arguments are invalid. I did a search and it looks like this question was asked before but I didn't see an answer. Any idea? As usual, the Sage portal is WORTHLESS on this one!

What's the workstation op system? Is there a ""real"" default printer set up?

Windows 7 and the default printer is a local Brother on a USB.

Both WS's are WIN?? Are you installing the client from the autorun.exe or the wksetup.exe?

Both are Windows units. I'm installing from the wksetup folder and running the setup.exe. I had no problems on another workstation. Go figure!

I always install workstations using the autorun option.... It installs some other software that wksetup doesn't

Had an install issue at client today. Their IT people tried several times to install. Couldn't get past the errors. I logged in, ran the autorun and had it humming in five minutes.

You sure the Windows firewall is off, and AV is not running?

Windows firewall is off and I just turned off McAfee. I'll let you know if that helps.

Well, it's working. This machine is a serious time bandit! It turns out that IT had already installed Sage 100 2013 and the user had moved the icon. So it was on and working. Yet still we would encounter that error when trying to uninstall or install the software. Someone in their IT department has some mysterious voodoo.
