    When creating an RMA to restock returned inventory - is a transaction created to restock the inventory? When I do the RMA receipt - it is not increasing inventory...

    What are you actions? A credit should be created when you generate transactions and then you need to update the credit memo.

    If the item action is stock, and you've generated the RMA transactions, the system should create a credit memo in SO to return the items to stock. You'll still need to update the SO Invoice to complete the process.

    I've posted the credit memo in SO and the item action was set to stock. However, the inventory still isn't showing back up when i check item maintenance...

    Or in RMA options, did they setup the Restock warehouse as something other than the normal warehouse?

    Most places will inspect or disposition the item before returning to std inventory. Is our item setting = Repair and the Customer setting something other than repair? (or vise versa). I suspect the receipt might be posting to the repairs account

    Beth is right, check the restock warehouse and you will find the inventory items on the credit memo.

    RMA Reciept -Generate Transactions creates the DE record in SO Invoice DE task for posting/updating. Nothing ""posts"" in RMA or from RMA. Transaction entries are merely being created. You still need to update the SO invoice DE files after RA generation. Inventory is affected when the SO Daily Sales Reports and Updates register is updated. The Credit if applicable hits the customer account and item posts to inventory (stock, repair or scrap) The GL accounts associated to the return to stock setting for the item are defined in the SO Options and your item setting will determine which account to post to. (Inventory, Repair, and Scrap)

    @JenniferChriston from RMA Inquiry enter the RMA, go to lines, click the ""show documents"" link, select the credit memo on the credit memo go to lines. What warehouse code is listed? Now go to Item Maint/Inquiry select the item, transaction tab and that warehouse code. Search for the credit memo and let us know if you found it.

    I only have 1 warehouse setup and it is the same one setup for the restock warehouse. @MoiraGoggin - the credit memo in RMA inquiry shows the main warehouse, however when i go into item maint - i can't find the credit!

    Are you searching in the Transactions tab? Make sure you have the correct dates selected.

    The transactions tab only shows detail for the current inventory period (which may be a month prior to the one you are looking for), you have to click the binoculars on the right side of the panel to select a wider range of dates.

    If this is not related to the date criteria, is this only happening on one item or multiple? Test the same process in the ABC demo company. Did this just start happening or are we just now starting to use the RMA module? Are there any third party modifications added? If you process a credit memo for the item in SO Invoice DE does the transaction record in Item Maint. Transaction tab as an item being received into Inventory?

    I changed the dates for the transaction tab and the credit still wasn't there. However, I closed Sage 100 and rebooted the server, and then checked again and sure enough it was there.
