When adding the ""Qualified Employee Report and Worksheet"" to the Payroll Customer Reports menu on our internal MAS 200 system, I had to shorten the name. Got ""Unable to spawn a new session. The command line required for the server process is too long"".

This finally worked: If the error still occurs, clear the Spawn Session from Application Server check box. Note: Do not perform this step if the check box was selected to resolve connection issues, for example ""Connection failure to host..."" (see related article below). Expand Modules, Library Master, and Main. Double-click User Maintenance. Select the user ID. Click the Preferences tab. Clear the Spawn Session from Application Server check box. Click Accept. Repeat for each affected user.

Maybe I missed an earlier post about this, but everyone needs to be sure to fully read the IRD instructions regarding adding this report to the custom reports menu and applying or creating the new deduction code.

Someone posted this on the LinkedIn forum -- I've yet to settle into reading the IRD info but it may be worth noting the below comments (Which I've not verified) as clients could start calling soon: Am I reading this correctly? On Sage Software Online under the IRD Installation section for the 2010 Interim Release Download (IRD). SAGE posted ""For Version 4.30, you will need to install Service Update 21 instead of the IRD."" However, if you go to the Service Packs / Program Fix section, Service Pack #21 for MAS90 version 4.30 does not exist. Also in the IRD section SAGE posts ""This IRD applies to Sage MAS 90, MAS 200, and MAS 200 SQL versions 3.73, 3.74, 4.00, 4.05, 4.10, 4.20, 4.30, and 4.40 only"". So which is it? Do we install the 2010 IRD when running MAS 90 version 4.30?
