What's your favorite bug which Sage seems powerless to resolve?

  • 1.  What's your favorite bug which Sage seems powerless to resolve?

    The subject says it all.

    Mine is the cash receipts application where a user exits out of cash receipts but Sage thinks it is still in progress requiring ARWAR4 to fix.

    Maybe we could have an award at this year's MOTM for the longest-running bug?  The Sage-ies?

    Similar is the Paid Today field in AP Open Invoice.
    Or exporting an ALE to Excel with negatives as text.

    No warning reboot during install, maybe.  Bigger sore spot is probably limitations - like Job Cost invoicing and lack of drill down in reporting, or the lack of hyperlinks to 'create a payment against this transaction' 'Make a SO from this RO' or 'copy this invoice' (as opposed to write down this invoice number, then start a new transaction and indicate you want to copy / from where - history, etc.)

    Paperless (printer not activated, cannot process lockfile...).  The fix and technical nature of the problems have evolved (print object permissions, NUL port... to registry hack and workstation repair), they are probably the most frequent and consistent support issues we have to deal with.
    Throw in a v2019 driver update that is not backwards compatible (as the cherry on top).

    My personal favorite is Running the Sage 100 Host Program as an Application rather than as a Service.

    The ProvideX odbc print service that crashes and nobody can print is always enjoyable.  I have a bat file that runs on a Windows task scheduler every evening to stop and restart the service.

    Just visited a client today who had her PC report down to 4 legitimate line items and had done most of the work on her own, with no training from the prior employee.  I want to clone her and send her out across America, helping Sage users clean up their PC.

    As part of the workstation installation: 

    - Should install Aatrix
    - Should install MICR fonts ( Aatrix install  will do this )
    - Should install Bar Code fonts
    - Should kick off  data conversion if required by the main Sage program and/or any third-party solutions

    Really? Still? Wasn't this "new" menu one of Sage's flagship features of 100cloud?
