What's up with the Sales Dept at Sage. Been trying to place an order for the last 3 days. Stayed on hold for over an hour several times. Left 2 messages that are yet to be returned. Anyone else having a problem?.

Follow the threads from the past couple of weeks. Department is in transition from Irvine to Atlanta. They have laid off experienced people. Everything is FUBAR!!!

Yes. I receive an auto-response about 72 hour turnaround time because they are busy and thank you for your patience. And have been told the turnaround is from the time they actually look at your incoming email. It seems as if they are in a world of hurt.

Sage management believes sales revenue is too high. Why shift resources to sales or hire enough staff to take orders and credit card numbers when business is so good. After all, more than 20K people attended Sage Summit this year.

They don't seem to have any delays processing the fees associated with end user maintenance agreements.

Only if you don't count the delays in getting them correct the second time..

What a mess !! I wish I had something else to sell. Don't really want to sell Sage anything anymore.

I placed an order with Sage this morning and waited on hold for about 20 minutes. I thought this was bad. It kept giving me the message that I could leave a message and someone would call me back. Glad I waited on hold.

Never leave VM. Never send fax. Unless you don't ever want to hear from anyone at Sage.

Finally got a hold of someone. Now I'm told I can't buy user licenses for an existing customer unless the customer sends an email to Sales confirming they want to buy 5 more licenses. Really?? And why ?

They are saying because customer is on 100c, additional users or modules need to be confirmed by customer. Regular 100 would not need that. ??????

Did you use the special line reserved for John Hoyt - the one where when they see my number they make sure to answer because I keep escalating to people who have VP titles? I just called about 30 minutes ago to the Sales Advisor line and Ashley picked it up - ready to take an order. I was probably just lucky . . . That is correct on subscriptions - they need an e-mail.

My guess is that this is partly because you are authorizing a direct charge to the customer CC or ACH and Sage wants to be sure that the customer is the one who authorized it and partly because once the customer goes 100c the partner has lost all billing control.
