I have at times exported descriptions to Excel and let the client modify them to what they want.

I've not had very good luck with the short descriptions on the segments ... the descriptions just aren't ideal. I've used VI to update account descriptions after modifying them in Excel and using find and replace to update the descriptions, and of course some typing.

Thanks @Dana Young I will test it. Makes sense though that you can't save it before clicking Apply. They do have some "built" description based on segments and short descriptions.

The Apply button works for the changes you just made. You can't save it first & then apply; its like it doesn't remember what you changed.
And, if that is a "built" description based on the Short Desc from Main + Segment, I think it depends on if that description has been overwritten in Account Maintenance. I haven't done it in awhile but know that Apply does work.
