What's the cheapest version of MAS90 you recommend? I have over the last few days seen the typical ""we have a few too many transactions"" for QuickBooks type leads -- yet I can't really see them realistically paying less than the 5 user SBE which is $4,500 plus 18% (or more).... plus services. Is there anything that you regularly recommend to those no-budget people that is an interim step? Personally I don't focus on this area (the gray area between QB/Peachtree and MAS90) because I've found it's a no win situation where even if you sell into it there's usually a bookkeeping problem. Just wondering what others are doing.

I am thinking that the too big for QuickBooks and too small for MAS90 SBE ($5k) is no mans land and I should run with my head between my hands...

If they don't give you some sort of budget or don't have specific pains that MAS (or should I say, Sage ERP 100 Standard?) can resolve, then definitely run! It's always a judgement call in my mind. I just sold MAS SBE to a prospect because they wanted to be able to import invoices from their industry-specific software - they gave me a sample export file, I set up an import and voila! They were pleased...

@WayneSchulz I used to have great success with Business Works in that space, but thats now a dead end. Beware, Microsoft is now offering a 5 user, full blown version of Dynamics GP, SL & NAV for $3,000 total + maintenance based on list price... If you need, say 7 users, you still get the 5 users for $3,000 and then just pay normal price for users 6 & 7
