What's the best practice for moving existing Paperless Office documents from one server to another? Is the link utility now recommended (I know in the past it didn't seem to work) -- and if you do use the link utility do you still have to manually change the path in the Paperless Office setup options? Or is it preferred to change the path in setup then go to each viewer manually and do the move from there? This is one broke ass piece fo 1989 technology ..

Here's the Sage KB entry: http://infosource.sagesoftwareonline.com/sw_attach/kdb.asp?isresolutionconceptid=524730 What I'm questioning is if this is all that's needed or do I need to change path in the Paperless Module too (or does the link utility take care of that?)

I haven't used the relink utility. I usually just go into the Paperless viewer and highlight all the document and click the move button. It then asks for the new location. It goes very fast.. Also you need to modify the location is the setup screens and change them to the new location.

That's what I've been doing as well. A couple people seemed to say the Link utility was now working (I thought it used to be broken) and was wondering if that was a better solution. Too bad Sage doesn't have an automated tool that moves and adjusts the path in the data files. I guess I can understand wanting to provide flexibility in setting up the location of the Paperless storage -- just seems like it would be much easier with a standard setup like Sage does with the \MAS90
